Both yellow and orange colours conform to high visibility standard EN ISO 20471 Class 2, while orange only also conforms to railway standard RIS-3279-Tom Class 2. With an abrasion resistant and water-repellent finish, this jacket is perfect for tackling tough outdoor conditions. Constructed using environmentally friendly materials made from recycled plastic bottles. The manufacturer works with certified partnersĀ perPETualĀ©,Ā TOPGREENĀ®Ā andĀ REPREVEĀ®
to create recycled fibres from post-consumer plastic bottles. In collaboration, these partners allow the manufacturer to calculate the number of 1 litre bottles that would have been sent to landfill, based on the size of a single size L garment.
This product has been manufactured using 23 post-consumer PET plastic bottles. The process to transform these bottles into the final product takes on 4 steps:
- The post-consumer plastic bottles are crushed down and shredded into flakes.
- Ā Shredded flakes from the bottles are processed and turned into fibres.
- Fibres are processed into recycled yarn, woven or knitted fabric.
- Fabric is used to create Result Genuine Recycled garments.
All of the Genuine Recycled products are approved to theĀ Global Recycled Standard.
