I’m Ben, the new Digital Marketing Apprentice here at Industrial Workwear. I’m coming to the end of my first week as a Digital Marketing Apprentice and it has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience for me. The other staff have been friendly and extremely welcoming which has made me feel at home straight away.
I have left school having passed all of my GCSEs but feel that A-Levels aren’t for me.
I have considered other possible options with the only one being to become a Digital Marketing Apprentice. This is because I had always enjoyed the marketing side of Business Studies at school and I have always taken an interest in social media and the internet and it’s role in promoting and selling products while also reaching more potential customers. Being a Digital Marketing Apprentice incorporates the two very well which made it perfect for me.
I have been learning the basics of being a Digital Marketing Apprentice, mainly on Google Digital Garage. My manager, Carl, has also allowed me to sit in on meetings with various suppliers. This has given me a good insight into what my role could include in the future. I’ve also expanded the company’s social media presence by creating Instagram and Twitter page’s to allow us to engage and reach customers. This is a vital part of Digital Marketing.
I have a season ticket at Newcastle United so I love to attend all the home games, which can make or break the weekend for me. I also play in a local five-a-side league with some of my friends from school. The Premier League Darts on a Thursday night is also a big favourite of mine.
